Hello all. You may have noticed I haven’t been doing any longform writing recently. I guess I’ve just been a bit overwhelmed with everything going on and haven’t been able to collect my thoughts enough on any of it to put together anything I thought was worth you taking your time to peruse. And honestly, I am not looking forward to this year. I’m pretty convinced the system has something horrific they are cooking up for us. Perhaps its just what’s already visible like the insane full court press to remove Donald Trump from the election. But I have a feeling they’ve lost faith in that plan and are readying something else to distract us from all their failing wars and collapsing narratives, and to stop the populist wave that is continuing to crest across the west. A more serious crackdown on freedom of speech is guaranteed and that’s why I’m posting this interview with Mike Benz. If you are not familiar with his work it is well worth your time to hear him out. It’s the most succinct and overarching explication of what is happening and why with regard to free speech in the US that I have come across. Matt Taibbi and many others have done a great job with the nuts and bolts of how the censorship apparatus is organized and functions. But this interview describes the causes, motivations and vision of those at the top of the effort. This includes the Pentagon, CIA, NSA, FBI, DHS, as well as the corporate media, NGO and other government bureaucracies.

Now to answer the subhead above — does democracy mean rule by institutional elites — to those same elites the answer is a clear yes. As Benz describes in this interview, about 8-10 years ago, towards the end of the second Obama administration, the US government consciously redirected the international regime change/color revolution infrastructure it had perfected over many decades inward to counter their loss of control over domestic politics.

When social media became powerful enough to bring on serious anti-establishment threats to globohomo like Brexit, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders, it became clear that the narrative control the power elite had maintained and enjoyed via the mainstream media since at least the post-WWII era was disintegrating. At this point the elite institutions declared war on populism and free speech via social media, and engaged the tools and techniques of color revolution to fight this war.

On behalf of the Pentagon, the corporate and financial oligarchy, the media and the NGO and government complexes, the Department of Homeland Security was vested with the bureaucratic legerdemain to censor and suppress unapproved narratives, cancel and deplatform dissident voices and generally attempt to re-establish the previously hidden control mechanisms the power elite used to consistently shape the worldview of the American people. The real war is happening right here at home and freedom of thought, speech and conscience — and any hope to reestablish true democratic rule — are the stakes.
